The short version. This app asks for local network — and only while you are using the feature that needs it. None of it is sent to Now Studio.
Only what a match needs, and only to the one phone you are paired with: the name iOS reports for your device when the two phones find each other, a short exchange of clock timestamps so both screens reveal the prompt at the same instant, a “ready” signal, which letter and category the round uses (as positions in the word list both copies of the app already ship with), the moment you buzz in, whether your answer was right or wrong, the match clock, and the verdict for each round.
A wrong answer is never sent — the other phone is told only that the attempt failed. The one time your typed text crosses is when you answer correctly, so the winning word can be shown on both screens. There is no chat, no photos, no contacts and no sign-in anywhere in the app.
Connecting a TV or projector moves the shared prompt and scoreboard onto that screen while the phone becomes the buzzer. That is drawing to a display you already connected — nothing is sent anywhere, and the app does not choose or reach the display itself.
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that profile you. We do not collect device identifiers, browsing history or usage data, and we never sell or share data. This is verifiable rather than a promise: the app contains no analytics or advertising frameworks.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
